Maylis and Reflet

In the heart of this village, these gîtes are unique.

Showcasing Toiles De Mayenne design, each gîte has a spectacular bathroom with underfloor heating, a comprehensive kitchen, an inviting queen-size bed and a spacious sitting room with a wood-burner.
The artwork in the interior is by a local artist, renovations were done by artisans using traditional lime render and furniture items made by an award winning local charpentier using repurposed materials such as sewing machines and packing cases from Toiles de Mayenne.

The building has easily accessible parking at the back. The village has bars, cafes and restaurants so everything you might need is at hand.

A well-stocked co-operative épicerie will serve your organic food and wine requirements, while the nearby bakery entices you to take coffee and try a freshly prepared patisserie in their secret garden.

Learn about the remarkable history of Fontaine-Daniel, from its past with the founding Cistercians to the present with the arrival of Toiles de Mayenne and its future eco-orientated philosophy which drive its inhabitants today.

If you are an interior designer or simply interested in design and would like to visit the Toiles de Mayenne fabric factory and learn about the history and philosophy behind this unique product, I can arrange a behind the scenes tour.

The two gites in Fontaine-Daniel are open throughout the year to visitors and also to professional artists, directors, writers and creators who wish to come to Fontaine Daniel to find inspiration.

Your stay in the gîtes will help to finance the Artist Residences and enrich the cultural experience of the village.
