Beautiful cottage in a picturesque village. Perfect for relaxing for a few nights with the dog. The village has every amenity you need and exceeded our expectations. Ursula was a great host and we would thoroughly recommend her Airbnb.

Such a lovely space to stay - facilities are great and even better than the pictures depict. Ideally located in the small village, less than a minute’s walk to the boulangerie and amazingly stocked epicerie. For such a small village, there is plenty happening - during our week there was a music evening at the epicerie and a random jamming session with members of a local folk band!

Angie – August 2019

A hidden gem in a beautiful location, the Reflet Gite was very well equipped for all our needs. It is a lovely interesting and stylish home. What more could you want, l'epicerie next door, a Boulangerie opposite and two very good restaurants just a short stroll away. Perfect!

Ros – June 2019

This gite is fantastic. All these reviews are genuine as surely no one can fault this place for its location, high end finish, resto’s next door and Ursula’s attention to detail. I highly recommend you stay here. Loved it.

Colin – July 2019

A really stylish and cosy apartment in a cute and picturesque village. We didn’t see Ursula during our stay but she was a very helpful and thoughtful host. We highly recommend the creperie around the corner and enjoyed visiting the surrounding area.

Christoph - April 2019

A wonderful location, a quiet village with all the amenities you could need and a stylish space to relax!

Michael - March 2019

Ursula's place is laid out so well, she has considered everything and we would recommended any one to stay. The village is exceptional with so much to offer. Great bakery, village bio store and restaurants. It is also home to the Toiles de Mayenne weaving mills. It’s hard to find a better place and village that ticks all the boxes.

Toiles de Mayenne

Fontaine-Daniel is home to Toiles de Mayenne, the historic fabric manufacturer and has been inhabited for around 800 years.

Initially home to a Cistercian Abbey, many of the buildings still in use around the village date from that period.

The village of Fontaine-Daniel itself was created by the founding family of Toiles de Mayenne as a social enterprise to house its workforce.
After the Revolution the buildings and land were bought by the founders of Toiles de Mayenne, and espousing a philosophy of social housing that was similar to that of  Saltaire and Bournville in the UK, subsequent generations of the founding family built homes, a church and a school for its workforce.

Toiles de Mayenne is a cultural heritage label and still a family business. You can discover the beautiful fabric here for yourself.
